The Salton Sea in Southern California is dying. The lake no longer has a supply of fresh water, and it's slowly shrinking. Tourism, once a major draw to the area, is now nearly nonexistent.
And yet, it can be breathtakingly beautiful — albeit in a desolate kind of way.

Our Salton isn't broken, scarred or dying, but like its namesake, its beauty is found in the absence of prominent features. In the plainness, simplicity and uncomplicated nature of its shape. Even in the raw potential it holds.

As an open crown hat, the Salton has no creases, pinches or dents. It can be worn as is — round — or you can try your hand at shaping it yourself. Either way, the Australian wool is easy to clean and will hold up for years if it's treated well.

This Salton Open Crown is everything! I bought in the summer to add to my Fall/Winter collection. Only thing I'm mad about; it's still summer; can't wait to wear it. Wonder if you might offer it in black at some point.

Salton open crown hat
This hat has an excellent look, clean lines. Fit me perfectly. I will also say I am very impressed with the customer service at Two Roads. I own several different hats from this company and never had any issues when they were delivered to my house until this hat. The original delivery came in a crushed box, which of course meant a crushed hat. I contacted Two Roads and they were right on it! As soon as the return label was scanned to show I was returning the hat, they sent out my new hat, which arrived quickly and in perfect condition. No hassle. I will continue to make my hat purchases from them.
Awesome, Ken. We obviously also hate to hear that a hat was damaged in transit, but always look forward to the opportunity to spring into action and get another great hat on your head. Glad it all worked out.

Different in good way
The open crown is definitely an eye catcher and is a little taller than expected. The grey color looks really nice with pretty much anything. Has a very round fit but padding tape is included to dial this in.
