Picture this.
Ernest Hemingway is sitting there on the patio of a little cantina in Havana, circa 1939. Wearing a fine handwoven straw Panama-style hat named after the very barrio in which he now sits, he's simply enjoying a tall, cold daiquiri and writing thoughtfully in a notebook when two drunken sailors amble by. One gestures to Hemmy and mumbles something to the effect of "Nice hat, gringo!" to his chum.
Hearing this, he sets down his fountain pen, carefully removes the Vedado from his head and stands up. Approaching the two without a word, he taps the larger of the two on the shoulder. When the fellow turns, he is greeted by a solid right cross on the chin, and crumples indistinguishably among the cobblestones. His partner receives the same treatment. Hemingway returns to his seat, replaces the hat atop his head and picks up the pen. The sun is going down and he'd like to get the rest of his thoughts down before the light escapes.
None of this actually happened, we assume. But it's what we envision when we see El Vedado.

I love this is the second time I got a hat from yo guys
I exchanged a hat for this one, I really like it, not your ordinary straw hat, I intend to wear it on the "downtown lunch, dog days of summer" July and August period.
Wanted to try a different brand and couldn’t decide between 2, so I bought them both. Fast shipment, well packaged. The quality of these hats far exceeded my expectations. Tried them both on and the wife loved them… I look “bespoke”. Haha
Well- back on the sight in search of what’s next.

After exhausting every method of communication I really feel like I've been swindled. Im a professional stylist and placed the order for this hat on Jan 30, 2023 for a job I have outside of the country. I paid for expedited shipping bit instead of receiving the hat in 2 to 3 business days, I just didn't get it at all. Now, when I look at the site and look up my order history its not even there.
if this is a technical error I have certainly done my part to make this company aware. The hat I ordered hasn't even been processed outside of Salt Lake City. It must've magically gotten lost from the store to the facility for processing. IDK... this just seems like I've been swindled. The way I've been treated is a joke. So, unprofessional. Its really horrendous. I now have to leave for my shoot empty-handed.
Two Roads-Gigi pip, please, either send me a hat or give me my money back.
this isn't fair.
This is extremely disappointing.
attached is proof of my purchase. It is now Feb 6 and the hat I paid for is still in Utah.
Prompt delivery. However, hat arrived in opened box and hat was crushed. Flimsy brim. Not as strong or constructed as advertised. Quite disappointed.

Hey Xavier, sorry for the experience and for the delayed response. Really sorry about that, and wish we would've seen this sooner. We 100% stand by our shipping and will always happily process a return to make sure that you get a hat that's in great shape.
As for this hat in particular, the style is a very finely hand-woven straw, which doesn't make it as 'hefty' a hat as many of our others. That being said, it's still a very well-made hat, and if cared for properly, will last a long time.
