NORFOLK NAVAL TRUCKER
Description
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia is the oldest naval shipyard in the United States.
Since it's inception in the 1700s, it's played a major role in ten wars.
Three times its been burned to the ground, and three times it's been built back up again.
The history of this port certainly showcases the resilience, fortitude and ingenuity of the men and women of the US Navy.
People like O6 Senior Officer Roger Medina, who lied about his age to serve aboard the USS Iowa in the 1950s, and whose grandson we're lucky to have on our Two Roads team.
Our Norfolk Trucker is a tip of the hat to this breed of legacy, and we hope it will stay with you for just as long.
