BEHIND THE NAME

You've heard of the Alps, but have you heard of the Alps of Arizona?

Yeah, we're guessing you haven't.

And that's probably because Arizona isn't a state you're usually used to equating with steep mountains, fast-running rivers and snow.

And that's OK, because you never know about something until you do — and occasionally our assumptions need to get challenged a bit.

Alpine, Arizona is situated four hours from the Phoenix area, but it's 8,000 feet higher in elevation. It's a easy hop, skip and a jump away from the steamy desert, and a welcome relief when the temps get too high.

It's also a good lesson in remembering that things aren't always as they seem from the outside, and that the best way to get to know something is to dive right in and absorb all of its complexities and contradictions.

None of us are all one thing, really, and whether you consider yourself a "hat person" already or not, our Alpine Western Palm is a great easy-wearing brim to keep you company on your next road less traveled.

Great hat.

I like this hat a lot. It comes in larger sizes, which is rare for hats that look this good.

my only complaint is that i'd prefer a leather hat band to the sweat wicking one. Leather bands tend to stay on your head. Mine fits snug but still catches the breeze...so if you plan to wear this in any kind of wind, you may want to do some runners stretches before ya head out.

Glorious

What a glorious hat! Bold in its style, breezy in its feel, beautiful in its crafting. That sweat-wicking band is quite comfortable. It partly feels like it needs an occasion to wear it, but I’m tempted to wear it to the grocery store just because it’s so fun to wear. I’ve had more compliments on this hat than any other!
