Behind the Name

It's hard to spend any time in the world of country music without hearing the name Hank Williams. The man's influence spans the entire genre.

You'd be surprised to know, however, that his first musical mentor was a blues musician by the name of "Tee-Tot" Payne. The older man took Williams under his wing, teaching him much of the rhythm, personality and stage presence that he'd ultimately become known for on his journey to become the first superstar of country music.

It just goes to show you that there's nobody out there that's just one thing. Even "pioneers" are made up of the sum of everything they've taken in, seen and been inspired by.

good shape, bad fit

like the shape, its very snug and the crown of 4 1/2isn't tall enough for my head.

Hey John, thanks for reaching out. Sorry the fit wasn't perfect right out of the box. We do our best, but obviously every head is a little different.

If the hat fits well around your head, but just isn't quite deep enough, you can actually fix that really easily yourself with some steam. If you have a clothing steamer, great, but even a teakettle or pot of boiling water should give you enough steam if you just hold the hat upside down over the steam so that it hits the top of that crease. After a few moments, the felt should start to soften up. At that point, be careful not to burn yourself, but turn the hat back over and put it on your head, then press it down until it fits deeper. Then just wear it for a few minutes while it cools and it should fit quite a bit better.

Outstanding Hat!

I couldn’t be happier with this color choice and style. I had to switch it due to the fit of the other hat, but this color and fit is perfect, no adjustments needed.

Hat is great but….

I love the Butler County. The Mule Kick is outstanding. I had rot exchange the hat for different size. Process was flawless. I have a problem with the shipping of the replacement hat. Box was not deep enough for the hat (luckily no damage) and there wasn’t anything to keep the hat from sliding around in the box. I have no was of storing my hat without the worry of damaging the top and sides.
