DESCRIPTION
The Delmar is a stiff, mid-sized-brim hat with an upturned brim. Its crown is somewhat of a mix between a teardrop fedora and a cattleman's crown.
But it's the trim that we think makes this hat. With a distressed tonal thick grosgrain band, it gives the air that it's already seen some sh**. You'll get the impression that this hat is showing you the sights, not the other way around.
The brim also has one isolated strip of edge-wrapped grosgrain — a really cool little touch.

Hi Malinda, sorry to hear about this. I want to ask a couple questions, just so we know what we're looking at and how we can proceed. The Delmar is a distressed style, meaning it's designed to look used, worn in, etc. There is intentional fraying on the band and along the edge — this is how it is supposed to look. That being said, if the damage you're referring to is beyond this — if something perhaps happened to the hat in transit — then we for sure want to know about that and help you with a return. In fact, we'll still help you, even if the style just isn't for you. We do want to make sure you're happy with the hat. I have both the Dark Brown and the Mulberry and I absolutely love both. This company makes some of the best and most unique brimmed hats on the market.
This is Two Roads hat number 2 of 4 for me. I have two straw, a skullcap, and now this felt one. Once you get the sizing right (god bless your soul), it works great and the leather band ensures it stays put. When I bought it, I knew I'd change the band as the brown on brown was a bit too monotone for me. So, I made one (after hours upon hours of searching for bands online). Bought the feather from Two Roads also. Turns out, back in the early 1900s, everyone customized their own hat bands to add their personality. Also, the top of the inside of the hat would hit the top of my head, so I added a reverse dent in the crease. (see third picture). Now, it sits lower and properly secured on my head. I also made the crease lower (a bit deeper) in the front. I dropped a star for the inconsistent sizing from one hat to the next, but quality of the hat itself is awesome. Love this company.
