MESQUITE BLANK OPEN CROWN HAT – BLACK
MESQUITE BLANK OPEN CROWN HAT – BLACK
Note: The Mesquite is a blank, open crown hat. It's designed to be hand shaped by the owner, and will come with a tall, round crown and flat brim.
DESCRIPTION
Perhaps the most interesting thing about sand dunes are their ever-changing nature. Unlike mountain ranges, whose metamorphoses take place over chapters measured in millions of years, dunes can shift and transform in a matter of days — even hours.
The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley National Park are no exception. Shifting. Adapting. Growing.
Our journey is no different. Standing still is neither possible, nor desirable. It’s in the reshaping that we’re stretched into the best version of ourselves.
In a similar way, our Mesquite Blank Open Crown Hat, by nature, is built to change shape. Built to be shaped, molded and catered by you to become the exact companion that you’ll need along the way.
Crown: 6"
Note: This product is only eligible for returns if it's still in new or like new condition.
HAT SIZE CHART
Side note: This hat fits true to size. Its initial round shape will lessen as it's steamed and shaped, and will end up fitting nicely all-around.
All sizes are measured in centimeters circumference.

Awesome awesome hat, I’ll definitely keep my eye on 2 Roads for more hats.
Exchanged hats to make a better fit, went quickly and easily.
Love the hat, it shaped nicely, felt is stiff, shipping was prompt.
Reached out through customer service to ask if it was at all possible to send my hat back in order to have a Pencil brim shaped into it, (as it would be quite difficult to do so without the proper tool. Since I am not a hat maker I do not own said tool, and do not intend to purchase a high-end single purpose tool to only use maybe a handful of times.) and unfortunately I was advised to go to a local hat maker. I do not have a hat maker that is local to me, so now I am left with a hat that I think is awesome, but am not fully in love with. I would have loved to have sent my hat to the original manufacturer for this, because clearly they have the means to execute my request, but denied me, because they don’t offer that as a service. I happily would have payed to do so, but honestly I just am left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. My three stars reflect this feeling.
Hey Liam, thank you for reaching out, and we're really sorry you ended up feeling like this after your hat purchase. That's obviously the last thing we want for a customer to feel.
I hear you, and want to make sure you know that. We ultimately aren't currently set up to put in a pencil brim on this style hat. The Mesquite is sold as an entirely blank offering that customers can customize themselves, and that's what we try to make clear and evident on the product page. As you mentioned, a pencil brim is just a bit more involved than standard felt shaping. I'm sure this is why our team gave you that answer.
This is good to hear about, though, and we've been working a lot this year to improve our hat customization options, both in house and at events where we do in-person hat customization. That's something we have our eye on.
None of this helps you in this scenario, unfortunately, I know. But I did want to respond so that you knew that we were aware of this, and that we want this to be something that is offered to customers at some point.
At the end of the day, we want you to be thrilled with your purchase. That's our ultimate goal. If you ended up less thrilled than that, we have some work to do.
Anyway, thank you for being a customer of ours. We hope to get the chance to try again.
